We at Silver First recommend that you protect your jewellery by polishing it frequently with a soft dry cloth to avoid tarnish and retain its original shine. Use a microfiber or jewellery cloth to clean your jewellery.
Try to avoid the jewellery being in contact with any chemicals, perfume, hairspray and deodorants. To keep the product in good condition remove when showering, swimming or when performing manual or domestic work.
If your wearing other precious metal jewellery at the same time, avoid collision and keep it away from other hard objects. After each use, wipe the surface lightly with a cotton cloth or soft tissue to remove water and dirt, and then store it in a flannel dust-proof bag to avoid contact with air.
If it has been oxidized and changed color you can use water to soak the item. Wipe with a silver cloth or use a soft brush with toothpaste to scrub, wipe it dry with a cotton cloth after washing.
Store your jewellery in individual air-tight bags with anti-tarnish properties. These bags keep exposure of air out and keep shininess and brilliance intact. Try not to put too many pieces in one bag as they can create tangling, scratching, and tarnish.
